Reiki

Reiki is a natural healing modality of Japanese origin, introduced to this country after World War II. This ancient practice is used to create balance and stimulate healing in the body and emotions. Used to improve any condition, Reiki can be performed on any age client, with hands on or off,
as the client wishes. Differing from massage techniques, Reiki works with the body's subtle energy field, introducing healing energy into the tissues. The warming sensation most clients feel is immediately soothing at the site of pain, and relief is long lasting. Because Reiki stimulates blood flow, circulation and cellular health are greatly improved. Arthritis, injuries, migraines, sciatica, TMJ, bowel and urinary problems, addiction and even the effects of long term illness are among the myriad conditions that Reiki is shown to improve. Reiki, combined with the acupressure technique EFT, results in immediate and often dramatic improvement to wellbeing. The Emotional Freedom Technique, or EFT, uses pressure points along certain energy meridians to release blockages caused by trauma of either an emotional or physical nature. The after effects of any damage, no matter how old, often can be released in a one hour session.

Centuries ago, in a gypsy clan, the wisdom and skill of the "Shuvani" were held in high regard. The Romany (Romani) wise women had knowledge of the body, the mind and the spirit which enabled them to guide their family and clan members on the journey towards balance and good health.

A Shuvani used herbs, energy healing, divination and a host of other traditional techniques passed down through the generations. Treatments for ailments of the body and spirit were tailored specially, as individual as the clients themselves.

As an avid student of Gypsy culture, and of the Wise Women who practiced these time honored crafts, I strive to serve you, my client, in this spirit of caring and community. We share a common goal; for you to achieve the physical health and emotional balance that you desire.
