Canine Massage
Canine massage is more than just pampering your pet! Massage therapy can help release toxins, maintain flexibility, and soothe sore muscles and joints from too much playing, or age. It’s also great for pets recovering from surgery, especially those that have to be still much of the time.
I started canine massage for our aging German Shepherd, Fraulein, who was approx 6-7 years old when we adopted her. At some point in her life, she injured her back causing two vertebrae to fuse together, later the fuse cracked. At 8 years old, she was unable to walk. Our vet put her on muscle relaxers and pain killers which helped , but she was miserable!
A canine chiropractor got her off the medications, but maintaining meant visits every three weeks which was expensive. Then I learned about canine massage. Now Fraulein visits her chiropractor every other month. Best of all, she feel better and can once again chase her beloved ball!
